A slim chapter three, but it's done.

Update
After many starts and restarts I finally managed a chapter 1 I'm happy with. Chapter 2 went much easier.

I May Not Know Art, But I Know What I Like Department
I know I promised a review of Nick DiChario's, "A Small and Remarkable Life". Well, I've been advised to avoid the books of people who may become my contemporaries, and have the power and the grudge to torpedo my fledgling career.
This in now way relates to Mr. DiChario's book, which is excellent. Even my wife is reading it, and she's not a fan of SF.
Now, I know their are thousands of authors out there who read my blog religously and need to know my opinion of their works. Well, it's just not going to happen. Even though I have been pretty good reviews, that is because I haven't posted about the crap I've read.
So, in a nutshell, buy "Small and Remarkable Life."

Not A Word Counter
Some writers have taken to setting up some sort of word counter to show their current productivity. Personally, I don't need a reminder of just how little I am doing, or how long it takes me to get something done. It's depressing and in a way discouraging.
That said, since my return from the WoTF workshop I have completed a short story based on a stupid thing I said while there. I have also revised a another story. Both will be in the mailbox before the end of the week.
I'm going to fix up another story--should be done by next week--then start work on a book that's been simmering in my head for a while. I'll let you know how the chapters are coming along.
Oooh, you can almost feel the excitment, can't you?
